Record summaries

Record summaries give you a short, AI-written brief of where a relationship stands, so you can catch up on a contact, company, or deal without reading every email. Use this page to find, read, and refresh a summary.

Where to find a summary

Record	Location
Contact	The Summary section at the top of the Overview tab.
Company	The Summary section on the Overview tab, below the description.
Deal	The Summary section at the top of the deal page.

What a summary contains

A short description of the relationship based on recent activity.
Highlights that call out notable points.
A Next step suggestion, on contact and company pages.
Based on, which lists the activity the summary used.
When it was generated, for example "Generated 2 hours ago".

Summaries describe your records. They never change contact, company, or deal fields.

How summaries stay current

Helpin creates and refreshes summaries automatically as new email activity and signals arrive for the record. If a refresh fails, the last good summary stays in place.

To refresh a summary yourself, select Regenerate.

When there isn't enough activity yet

A new record may show Not enough signal yet, with a short checklist of the activity that would make the summary more useful. Select Generate anyway to create a summary now. Helpin notes that it is working from limited evidence, so confidence may be lower.

Act on the next step

On contact and company pages, the summary's next step offers these actions:

Create task opens a new project task with the next step filled in. You must belong to a team to create tasks. See Linked tasks.
Draft reply opens the email conversation the summary is based on, so you can reply. Only the owner of the connected mailbox can reply. See Email conversations and composer.

Get better summaries
