Activities
Activities are the record of what happened with a customer: notes, calls, and meetings you log yourself, plus synced emails, tasks, deal changes, and support conversations. Use this page to log an activity and read a record's history.
Where activity appears
Every contact, company, and deal page has an Activity section. It lists everything that happened with that record, newest first. Contact and company pages also have Calls and Notes tabs that show only that kind of activity.
Log an activity
Open a contact, company, or deal.
In the Activity section, select Note, Call, or Meeting.
In What happened?, enter a short subject. The subject is required.
Optionally add details under Add context, outcomes, or next steps....
Select Save note, Save call, or Save meeting.
The activity appears in the record's timeline. To start over, select Clear draft.
To send an email instead, select Email in the same section. See Email conversations and composer.
Filter the timeline
Use the filter next to the Activity heading to show one kind of item:
Filter | Shows |
|---|---|
All | Every item. |
Notes, Calls, Meetings | Activities you or your team logged, and meetings. |
Emails | Synced email messages. |
Tasks | Linked project tasks. |
Deals or Deal changes | Deal creation and stage changes. |
Support | Support conversations. |
Edit or delete an activity
Hover over an activity you logged and select Edit activity or Delete activity. Deleting asks you to confirm.
Activities and tasks
Activities record things that already happened. Work you still need to do belongs in a project task that you link to the record. See Linked tasks.
Meetings captured by Helpin's notetaker have their own page with a recording, transcript, and action items. See Meetings and notetaker.
