Associations
Associations connect CRM records to each other and to work elsewhere in Helpin. They let a deal show who it is for, and let a company page gather its contacts, deals, meetings, and support conversations. Use this page to understand the linking rules and change links.
What you can link
A contact, company, or deal can be linked to:

Linked records appear in the details panel or the matching tab of each record. To remove a link, select Remove association next to it and confirm.
A contact's primary company
A contact can be linked to more than one company, and one of them is the primary company.
Open the contact.
In the Company section of the details panel, select Link company and choose a company.
To change which company is primary, open the company's menu and select Change primary.
A deal's customer
Every deal has one customer: either a company or an independent contact. The customer appears in the deal's Customer section.
If a deal has no customer, the deal shows Customer needed. Select Choose customer and search for a contact or company.
To change the customer, choose a different one. The new customer replaces the old one, and people already on the deal stay as participants.
You can't simply remove the customer link. Choose another customer first.
Linking a company to a deal from the company page also makes that company the deal's customer. Helpin asks you to confirm before replacing an existing customer.
People on a deal
The deal's People section lists the contacts involved.
Select Add to add a participant.
On a company-backed deal, select Make primary to mark the main contact.
Select Remove to take a person off the deal.
A deal whose customer is a company doesn't need any contacts.
Older deals may also list Other companies. These are related companies, not the deal's customer.
