Task links & dependencies
Task links make relationships and delivery dependencies visible to everyone working on the plan. Use them when the connection between two tasks affects how people understand, sequence, or complete the work.
Link two tasks
Open the task's detail page.
In the links section, choose the control to add a link.
Search for the related task by name or task key.
Choose the relationship that describes the connection — blocks, relates to, or duplicates — and save.
The same relationship is visible from both tasks, each shown from its own side.
Mark a blocking dependency
Choose blocks when one task must be completed before another can move forward. If Task A blocks Task B, Task B is shown as "blocked by" Task A.
The blocked indicator is automatic while the blocking task is not done.
When the blocking task reaches Done, the blocked indicator clears.
A blocking task is surfaced through its relationship views; it does not need a separate "blocking" status.

Use other link types
Link type | Use it when | Behavior |

Blocks | Task A must be completed before Task B can proceed | Directed; B shows "blocked by A" until A is done |
Relates to | The connection is informative and does not create a delivery dependency | Symmetrical: if A relates to B, B relates to A |
Duplicates | One task repeats another | Inverse view shows the other task as duplicated by it |
For duplicates, archive the duplicate when it will not be worked on, so the original remains the source of truth for the work.
Plan in dependency order
Before starting dependent work, open its links and confirm whether it is blocked.
Resolve or complete blockers first.
Then move the dependent task forward.
