Filtering & search
Filters and search help you reduce a busy project to the work that matters right now. Filters answer structured questions; search finds work when you know a word or phrase.
Filter a view
Use Filters on the board, list, or timeline to limit the work shown. You can filter by:
Team, epic, sprint, owner, requester, or label.
Task type, workflow state, priority, or severity.
Whether a task blocks other tasks, or is blocked by them.
Custom-field value, linked contact, company, deal, or support conversation.
Choose more than one value where a filter supports it — for example, show work owned by either of two people, or work from several labels. You can also turn a filter off and on again without removing it, which makes it easy to compare a narrow view with a broader one and then restore the conditions.
Combine conditions
Filters combine with Matches All logic by default: a task must meet every active condition to appear. Use this for a precise question, such as "high-priority tasks in the current sprint owned by me."
Switch to Matches Any when a task can meet any one of the conditions. Use this to see work across alternative categories, such as tasks with either of several labels.
Search for work
Use the Search field to find tasks by title, description, or comments. Search is useful when you know a phrase, while filters are better for structured questions about fields.
Combine search with filters when you need both a specific phrase and a defined project scope.
Save a useful setup
When a combination of filters, grouping, sorting, or columns is worth returning to, save it as a view. This avoids recreating the same focus each time.
