List / Table view

Use the list when you need to compare many tasks and update details in a structured table. Each task is a row, so differences in state, owner, or dates stand out without opening every task.

Scan work as rows

Each task appears as a row, with columns for details such as ID, title, state, priority, owners, and due date. This view suits reviewing a backlog, checking assignments, or finding incomplete details.

Sort and group

  • Select a column header to sort the table by that column — bring the most urgent work, latest updates, or nearest due dates together.

  • Group tasks by Epic, Sprint, Owner, Team, Label, Workflow State, Priority, or Requester to see how work is distributed.

Update tasks from the list

Update a task inline by editing fields in its row, or open a task from its row for the full detail view. Select several rows to apply bulk actions, such as changing the state or adding labels, to all of them at once. Use filters first so the rows on screen are the set you actually intend to change.

Adjust columns to your task

Show or hide columns to match the decision you are making, and keep your column setup as part of a saved view. For the available columns and example setups, see Display / column settings.

When to use the list

Choose the list when you need precision and comparison rather than a workflow overview. It is the best fit for:

  • Updating many tasks one after another.

  • Sorting or grouping a large set of work.

  • Reviewing assignments, estimates, dates, or labels.

  • Combining filters with a compact, detailed view.
