Images & file attachments
Docs handles images and files as first-class blocks: upload by drag & drop or picker, resize and align, caption, annotate, and attach downloadable files — all stored with the document.
Images
Insert via the slash menu (Image), the floating toolbar, drag & drop onto the editor, or paste from clipboard.
Resize by dragging the corner handle; align left/center/right from the image toolbar.
Caption — add a caption that renders with the image (also used as alt text when none is set).
Image annotation
Screenshots benefit from markup: the image annotator lets you draw on an image —
Shapes: rectangles, ellipses, arrows, and freeform drawing with configurable color and stroke width.
Undo/redo history while annotating.
The annotated image saves as a new image (original preserved), which keeps before/after comparisons easy.
This is ideal for marking up UI screenshots in runbooks and support guides.
File attachments
Insert with the slash menu (File) or drag a file into the editor.
The block renders the file name, size, and type with a download button.
Files are stored as workspace attachments — moving or copying the document keeps the attachment working.
Limits & formats
Images: standard web formats (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, SVG).
Attachments: any file type, size-capped by workspace storage settings.
