Followers & subscriptions
Follow a task, epic, or objective when you want to stay informed about its activity, even if you are not the person making every update.
Follow or unfollow an item
Open the task, epic, or objective.
Select Follow. The control changes to Following, which confirms that you are subscribed.
Select Following again when you no longer want updates.
Following is personal: it changes the updates you receive, not who can view or edit the item. Use it for work you need to keep an eye on.
When Helpin follows an item for you
Helpin can add you as a follower automatically when you:
Create a task
Are assigned as an owner
Comment on a task
Are mentioned on the item
This makes sure that the people who start, own, discuss, or are directly called into work receive relevant later activity. If you no longer need the updates, select Following to unfollow.
What followers are notified about
Followers are included when relevant PM activity occurs on the item. Examples include assignment changes, comments, and updates to the work.
Helpin keeps notifications centered on the item: multiple events on the same task, epic, or objective can update its existing notification instead of creating a new one each time.
Your notification preferences control how eligible notifications reach you. Following does not override your preferences or give you access to items you otherwise cannot access.
Use following with comments
Follow the item before leaving a comment if you want to keep the full conversation in view.
If you only need a particular person's input, @mention them in the comment.
For a team-wide request, use an available team handle in supported PM text.
