Workspace settings overview
Settings is where you configure your own account, your organization, and each workspace. This page explains how Settings is organized and walks through the general workspace and organization settings.
Find your way around Settings
Open the account menu in the sidebar and choose Settings. The Settings home has a search box, so you can type what you're looking for (for example, "members" or "notifications"), and a list of recently visited pages. Sections that apply to the whole organization are tagged Organization-wide.
The sidebar groups settings like this:
Group | Pages |
|---|---|
Personal | Profile, Notifications, Security |
Organization | Organization details, Git connections |
Workspace | General, Members, Teams, Module access |
AI & knowledge | AI setup, Knowledge sources |
Integration | Repositories, External tools (MCP), MCP access, Import & export |
Projects | Labels, Task templates, Recurring tasks, Automations, Delivery |
Support | Inboxes & routing, Chat widget, AI assistant, Live Translate, Help center, Redirects |
CRM | Email & calendar, Deal pipelines, Meeting notes, Deal automation |
On Helpin Cloud, Billing appears at the top of the sidebar. Self-hosted servers also show a Server group for server administrators. Some pages only appear if you have the right role.
Who can change settings
Everyone in a workspace can view its settings. Workspace Admins and Owners can change them. See Workspace members & roles.
General workspace settings
Open Settings → General.
Setting | Details |
|---|---|
Logo | An image under 2 MB; 128 × 128 px works best. Use Remove logo to clear it |
Workspace Name | The name shown across Helpin |
Task Key Prefix | 2–5 letters used in task keys. If you change it, old task keys keep working |
Website | Your company website. Select Add as Source to use it as an AI knowledge source |
Timezone | Used for sprints, due dates, and reporting across the workspace |
Select Save to apply your changes. The workspace URL (slug) can't be changed.
Organization details
Open Settings → Organization details.
Organization Name: Organization Owners and Admins can rename the organization and select Save Changes.
Default Workspace: choose which workspace opens after you log in. This is a personal choice.
Transfer ownership: the Organization Owner can make another member the owner. The new owner takes over billing, and your role changes to Organization admin.
Members: see everyone in the organization and their organization role. Removing someone here removes their access to every workspace in the organization.
Delete a workspace
In General, the Danger Zone has Delete this workspace. Only the workspace Owner can delete it, and you must type the workspace slug to confirm. On Helpin Cloud, deleting a workspace also cancels its active subscription immediately. This can't be undone.
