Use the notification inbox

Open the bell to filter, read, archive, snooze and delete notifications.

The notification inbox collects everything Helpin wants you to see in the current workspace. Use it to catch up, jump to the right task or conversation, and clear what you've handled.

Open your notifications

Select the bell icon at the top of the sidebar, next to the workspace name. A number on the bell shows how many unread notifications you have. You can change what counts toward that number, or hide it, in Settings > Notifications.

Filter the list

Use the tabs at the top of the inbox:

Tab

Shows

All

Every notification in this workspace

Mentions

Only items where someone mentioned you

Assigned

Only items where work was assigned to you

The newest activity is at the top. Select Load more at the bottom to see older notifications.

Read a notification

Each row shows what happened, a short preview, the item's identifier (such as a task key), and how long ago the latest update happened. If several things happened on the same item, the row shows the number of updates.

Unread notifications have a colored dot on the left. A notification about an agent that needs your input is highlighted in amber.

Select a notification to mark it as read and open the related item. Depending on the notification, Helpin opens:

  • the task, epic, objective or sprint;

  • the support conversation;

  • the agent chat or run that needs your input;

  • the settings page for an external tool that needs reconnecting.

Manage a notification

Hover over a notification and select the menu to choose an action:

Action

What it does

Mark as read / Mark as unread

Changes the unread state without opening the item

Archive

Removes the notification from your inbox

Snooze until tomorrow

Hides the notification until 9:00 tomorrow, in your local time, then brings it back as unread

Delete

Permanently removes the notification

To clear the unread count in one step, select Mark all read at the top of the inbox.

When hidden notifications come back

A new update on the same item can bring a notification back:

  • A read notification becomes unread again when something new happens.

  • A snoozed notification returns early if an important update arrives.

  • An archived notification stays archived unless something urgent happens on that item.

Troubleshooting

  • The inbox is empty, but you expected something. Check that you're in the right workspace. Also check that you haven't paused notifications or muted this workspace in Settings > Notifications.

  • There's no number on the bell. Your unread count may be set to Mentions only or No badge.
