Search your workspace
Press Cmd+K or Ctrl+K to find tasks, epics, sprints, objectives, documents and people, or jump to a module or settings page.
Use workspace search to find a task, epic, sprint, objective, document or teammate without leaving the page you're on. The same search window also lets you jump straight to a module or a settings page.
Open search
You can open search in two ways:
Press ⌘K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows and Linux.
Select Search your workspace name at the bottom of the sidebar.
The search window searches only the workspace you're currently in. To search another workspace, switch to it first.
Find something
Open search.
Start typing. Results appear after a short pause and update as you type.
Use the ↑ and ↓ arrow keys to move through the results.
Press Enter to open the highlighted result, or select it with your mouse.
Press Esc to close search without opening anything.
Results are grouped by type:
Group | What is matched | Where it opens |
|---|---|---|
Tasks | Task title, description, or number | The task |
Epics | Epic name | The epic |
Sprints | Sprint name | The sprint |
Objectives | Objective name | The objective |
Documents | Document title | The document in Docs |
Members | Name or email address | Settings > Members |
Each group shows up to 20 results, with the most recently updated items first. Archived tasks, epics, sprints, objectives and documents aren't included.
Find a task by its key
If you know a task's key, such as ENG-42, type it to go straight to that task. You can also type just the number.
Jump to a page
Before you type, and alongside your results, search lists shortcuts you can open directly:
Go to: Projects, CRM, Support and Docs.
Settings: the settings pages listed in the settings sidebar, such as Profile, Notifications, Members and Teams.
Start typing a page name to narrow the list, then press Enter.
Tips
Document search matches titles only. To search inside document text, use search within Docs.
If you don't see a result you expect, check that you're in the right workspace and that the item isn't archived.
A member result opens the Members settings page, where you can see that person's role and teams.
